This is a vintage tin advertising thermometer/sign for TUMS. It measures approx. 8.5" X 4" and looks/displays very well. This item is guaranteed original/vintage. It says "TUMS...for the Tummy" "Quick Relief" and "for Acid Indigestion/Heartburn" The glass tube is intact and accurate with no seperation. This baby is very near mint! This is a low profile/puffed-out type thermo/sign. Not dated but my guess is early 40's. For the serious collector who prefers quality. This is a very rare find in ANY condition. You just don't see these anymore. The backside is very near mint....and I always have said "...you can tell alot about the history of a sign or thermometer by looking at the back." This one is very nice. I would say a 9.5+ is pretty close. Its so clean that people initially think that its a reproduction...but it is not!! Super bold/vivid graphics! Great lustre/shine! Odd numbering scheme/layout on the scale. T is a very small number "40" under the right-side zero and straight across from -35 degrees.
