twisterii Auctions Vintage Twin Winton Lamb Cookie Jar With Matching Salt & Pepper Shakers Vintage Twin Winton lamb cookie jar with matching baby lamb salt and pepper shakers, circa 1960s. These have a warm light brown wood finish stain and are hand painted. This jar and the shakers have a lot of detail, notice their wool fur, hoofs, adorable smile, and the apron that says "For Good Little Lambs Only". The shakers have a "P" and "S" on their apron. This 50 year old cookie jar is in mint condition with no cracks, or chips. The salt and pepper shakers are in excellent condition and both have their original plugs. The pepper shaker has a slight abrasion on hers ears. The jar measures 12.25" tall, 7.25" front to back, 7.25" wide side to side. Each shaker measures 6.25" tall, 3.5" front to back, and 3.75" wide side to side. The bottom of the jar is marked Twin Winton, (c ) San Juan Capistrano,Calif., and USA. Twin brothers Don and Ross Winton were first introduced to making ceramics while attending high school in Pasadena, California. A joint venture was started in 1936 with Helen Burke, they designed and made the ceramics, and she painted and sold the creations of the 17 year old brothers.
