Vintage U.S. Navy Silverware You are viewing three (3) very attractive, vintage U.S. Navy silverware pieces. I believe this flatware to be the "Kings Pattern". The age of these items is unknown but could well be from the 19th century...you would have to do some research to confirm that. The teaspoon (6" in length) has a fouled anchor on the front of the handle with 'USN' on the reverse side. T is also a crown on the back of the bowl of the spoon. The butter knife (8 1/4" in length) has the same markings on the handle with the crown on both sides. It also has the anchor and 'USN' on the blade. The other knife (9 1/2") has the fouled anchor and 'USN' on the handle but no crown. The blade is stainless with the fouled anchor and underneath it 'USN' on one side only. On the other side of the blade is the marking "INSICO STAINLESS". My guess is that this piece is not as old as the other two. All pieces are in good condition with wear consistent with age. They also need to be polished but they are not as tarnished as the pictures appear. This is a beautiful set that would be a great additon to your collection or a wonderful gift to your 'favorite sailor'! Thank you for viewing these items and good luck bidding!
