Up for an AS IS - NO RESERVE AUCTION is this vintage umbrella or parasol. It has a fancy sterling silver handle and it is marked "STERLING." On the bottom of the sterling handle is a monogram of a "W" or either a "M" The umbrella has a tag marked "CRUCIBLE" with an elephant. The handle looks like bamboo or either rattan. The bamboo or rattan has 3 very tight splits. The bamboo or rattan is intact and not likely to come apart because it is held together on the bottom with the handle and on the top with a metal (sterling?) ring. The shaft? or part that extends from the handle to the tip is grain painted metal and the grain paint is worn is several areas. No damage to the frame. The umbrella opens and stays open. All of the tips are t The canopy is split in one area and has a paint spill in another area. Replace the canopy and this umbrella should be good to go! Age unknown. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
