This is pre-1950 undyed silk ribbon in skeins of approx 7/8" x 100yds. It has a woven edge rather than a fused or cut edge. Ribbon has a low-lustre satin finish on one side and more of a matte finish on the reverse/return. Each individual bundle is twist-wrapped much like old roping or yarn. The picture is of a group of skeins (on the left) with a single bundle (on the right) held out from the rest. Great Condition. It has never been used and has the aged color expected with older textiles. Perfect for bridal, design projects, doll-makers, textile artists, upscale gift-wrap, costumers and Hat makers. Takes color beautifully and results in brilliant colors (see 2nd picture for some of the colors); I have have had extraordinary results using RIT dye. This ribbon has been featured in Country Living and Mary Englebreit Magazines. Buyer pays shipping rounded to nearest whole dollar. I will coordinate shipping and billing via e-mail. PRIORITY USPS--to most US locations, shipping costs will be $5 for a single bundle. Credit Card Purchases accepted through Paypal. Each bundle of Vintage Undyed Silk Ribbon is 7/8" x 100yd (approx). Six skeins available. Bid price is per-skein. Payment must be made within 1 week of auction close.
