Heiser made this unique old holster to fit Automatics with up to a 10" barrel. This was the longest pistol holder they made. Fully chamois-lined, this hand carved, thong-sewed, flap holster goes back to the early 1900's, at least. The rawhide and leather are all full and supple, and the snap is still strong and true. The snap is a very unique enamelled brass, that is never seen with this particular logo stamp. The shoulder strapping is soft deerskin, and the buckles are in great shape. Even if you don't plan on using it, this is such a beautiful, collectible example of old Western Americana. I pictured it along with some other Heiser holsters that I have on auction, and one shot of a REPLCA (toy) Colt .45 with a 6"barrel, so a size comparison could be made. The toy gun is not part of the auction. Heiser also made sheaths for Randall Knife Co., from the 1940's thru the early 60's.
