This auction offering is for an old and unusual necklace that I believe to be from around the 1940's - 1950's. It is a combination of various glass beads including beautiful artisan made Venetian glass: t are three white wedding cake beads decorated with pink roses with a green swirl design that has the look of ribbons and loops of aventurine with aventurine through the middle. In addition are four beautiful dark blue Venetian beads with lots of encased aventurine: two large oval beads and two smaller round beads. And t is much more: two large oval opalescent beads, clear faceted glass rondelles along with round blue faceted glass beads; two faceted opaque white beads and two round twisty style beads with glittering gold color trim. All this is mixed with brass bead caps at the end of each major bead and brass accent beads. LENGTH & MEASUREMENTS: The length of the necklace is end to end 19" long. Without trying to give measurements on all the various beads let me just say: the wedding cake beads measure about 12mm's (1/2") diameter; the large oval dark blue w/ encased aventurine beads measure about 12mm's (1/2") W x 21mm's (7/16") L.
