Vintage Art Deco Table Torchiere Lamp Glazed Painted Ceramic, Brass & Alabaster The pottery portion of the lamp is Fulper piece that was converted to a lamp many moons ago, under it is a thin brass section that has a nice pattern pressed on the metal, it is somewhat dented from the time and use of the lamp. The hardware is brass, Leviton pull chain socket and UNO ring fitting with all 3 original adjusting screws and it has the very faint date of Dec. 24. 12 I was able to notice this in one of the pictures but it is hard to see with the naked eye. The cloth wire is in remarkable condition with a SNAPIT plug ( in need of cleaning), the plug is missing the cardboard cover. The lamp measures approx. 10 1/2" x 4 1/4" at the base, the shade fitter is 2 1/4" inches in diameter, and 5 1/2 inches tall. The overall condition of this lamp is good. There are however some issues, the most noticeable being the patina of the brass and the body of the ceramic glaze has sings of age and wear with some mini marks here and there and minimal craze may need a better cleaning which I do not know the proper way to do it and will leave it up to the buyer, no cracks or chips. The lamp has all original wiring as far as I can tell, and after testing it seemed to work fine, how ever I always suggest having older lamps be tested by a professional. This read more
