Compass is from WW2 according to estate people. Have no other details on any stories behind it.Would of been nice to be able to hear the owners stries on this one. Compass has some scratches on back, had been cleaned a bit prior to buying. It could use a bit more detailed cleaning which I will leave up to buyer. Push down button that opens operates well,inside of compass is amazingly clean and white.No nics or scratches on glass cover.Appears to be working,I tested it inside my car using my car compass. Has good sturdy closure on it as well.Round hook is in good condtion no breakage that I can find. I am not an expert on this so its being sold as stated as is. Has some wear but considering the age not bad at all. I tested this in my car and it appears to work,has a gold clip thing inside glass apparently to prevent the needle from moving when closed (?) Im not exactly sure on that part . Insurance will be optional based on final value . Wrqapped well for travel. US only for this ship fee if overseas I will do best I can to insure resonable rate to include good wrapping.
