Welcome and thank you for visiting! Item For Your Consideration: Vintage Van Briggle Art Pottery large cabinet bowl, vase, or planter done with the dark mulberry matte glaze and blue overspray on a light colored clay. I'm not sure of the pattern name or form of this piece but the exterior has a raised leaf and stem design, and the top of the leaves make a scalloped top rim edge. The large bowl is approximately 4-1/2" tall and 7-1/2" in diameter at it's widest. The bottom of the vase is marked with the double A mark, Van Briggle, Colo Spgs, and also has the initial R. I'm not sure of the age of this cabinet bowl but would date it from possibly the late 1920's to the late 40's. Condition of Item: This appears to have been a well used piece and t is crazing to the glaze and the interior of the bowl does have a fairly heavy build up of mineral deposits inside. The exterior of the bowl does have fine white marks around the bottom portion of the bowl. I'm not sure if these marks are from the bowl rubbing against another pot or if they are somehow from the mineral deposits inside the bowl. Other than the crazing, mineral deposits, and the white marks the bowl doesn't have any chips, cracks, repairs, or damage that I can see. Overall I would say it's in good vintage condition. It would look great with a nice green plant growing in it! The item listed is being sold AS IS, so please ask any and all questions, comments or concerns prior to bidding.
