Vintage Vestment COPE White & Red, 54.5" L lined FRANCE

Description: This Vintage White and Red Cope, made in France, is 54.5" long from the collar to the back bottom hem. The length on the front of the cope from the opening to the front hem is 47" long. The material appears to be a light textured poylester.

The cope is in excellent condition for its age. T are no tears or worn areas. It looks like t are two water spots on the back of the cope but are hardly visible.

On the front of the cope are two metal, gold-colored clasps in the shape of a shell. The clasps close easily. On the front of the COPE is a red embroidered line that is surounded by two panels of 1" red velvet on the left and right sides. The COPE has a light weight taffeta lining.

The yolk at its widest section is 18". The length of the yolk from the shoulder edge to the tassel is 16.5". Three golden wheat sheaves with gold rays extend from the bottom of the yolk bewteen two red velvet leaves. A 6" gold and light red tassel hangs from the yolk.

T are no directions on the stole for cleaning although it probably would be safer to dry-clean to "freshen-up" the vestment. The tag on the Cope states: "Made in France".
