This is a fantastic Vintage Hanging Oil Lamp Pat. 1887 it has whatlooks like a Bat on the frame with a patent date of Feb. 15 1887. The shadehas a hand painted web pattern kind of like a spiders web with great hand painted flowers. The frame is solid brass it has a Miller solar burner a beaded clear glass font, wonderful vintage lead crystals and a great little crystal in the center of the bottom finial. The Lamp hangs 35" and is fixed it has no pulley system but did come with extra chain to lower it if you want, the widest point is about 18", the chimney is a 12" frosted clear top thin chimney. T is a few holes in the top cap it was electrified at some point! I also have a setup to put it to electric if you would like that piece remind me and I will include it. This is definitely a stunning Victorian Hanging Oil Lamp!!! Total weight is 9 pound before packaging.
