Remeber the days before cable TV, DVD Rentals, and surfing the Internet? What did people do to entertain themselves in the evening? Answer, THE STEREO VIEW-MASTER. Yes that's right I use to spend hours looking at the stereo slides with my trusty View-master. But I sold that one long ago in a garage sale. I found this Viewmaster set in the closet of a Victorian home I bought in 1976. The printing material in the box is dated 1959. So that is w I am putting the manufacture date of this View-master and Reels. Though I think some of the Reels have to be much earlier by their looks. The set includes a green View-Master Library Box made of smooth, durable plastic with a marblized effect, this handsome box stores the viewer and up to 100 Reels. The viewer itself is a Model E View-Master Viewer. It brings pictures to life, in three dimension. Sturdy metal and plastic construction, with precision lenses, large light windows, easy-moving advance lever. It includes about fourty fabulous brilliant color, surreal 3-D Reels of the fifties. These Reels have to be seen to be believed. Many of them are of states; Wisconson, Colorado, Alabama, Tennesse, Georgia, Florida, Mississipi, Kentucy, Nebraska, Knotts Berry Farm, Disneyland, Las Vegas, Nevada. Every one of these pictures are incredible. The photos of the Las Vegas Strip in the Fifties, you gotta see. Disneyland in the Fifties with the original rides and mechanical animals. Lots of Indian Ceremonies. Even some Space Shuttle Reels. Southern Belles among the Magnolias, etc. etc. etc. It also includes information and statisticas about the states as well as a View-Master accessories and Reels order form.
