My whole life I collected purple things. I have never seen another Hudson Bay blanket of this color! I paid a fortune for this years ago, like twice what I am listing it for! This is a vintage Hudson Bay 4 Point Blanket, authentic with original tag. This very heavy , weight almost 6 pounds, wool blanket is in great condition. It was gently used, but it is clean, and has no moth damage, no holes, no tears and it smells fresh. Only under close scrutiny will you notice one or two tiny wear spots. It really is good, I am being too cautious because I am not a textile dealer. It looks perfect. Light spots in the photo are just from reflecting flash. This warm blanket has been with me a long time, and the upstate New York estate it came from was a clean, nice, home. This is a large size: 72 by 90 inches. Very thick wool, with 4 point stripes woven in. Color is bright magenta, violet purple, with creamy white wide stripe top and bottom. Such a luscious color. Don't be afraid of the starting price. T are many Hudson Bay blankets for sale but none in this exciting color. I am an antique dealer for 30 years and have never seen another one.
Original tag has the following registry: U.S. Reg. No. 220747. Canada Reg. No. 19576. I deal in glassware and other antiques so I have no reference books on old Trade Blankets.
