Store Home Feedback About Bookmark ContactHISTORY: This item sells new from World Kitchen for $129.95 but don't be fooled. The Vintage Corning Ware is true corning ware. Made from Borosilicate glass. This glass was discovered to not only withstand very high temperatures but it was very difficult to break. Corning Ware sold off it's glass division in 1998 to World Kitchen who changed the recipe and now uses soda-lime glass instead of borosilicate. This is the reason that vintage Corning Ware is so highly sought after. It heats evenly, withstands high and cold temperature which allows it to got from stove top to oven to refrigerate with no problem. The so called pyrex/corning ware today has had reports of shattering under high temps. So always buy Vintage Pyrex and Corning Ware.THIS ITEM: This is a 5QT (4.5L) Dutch Oven/Stock Pot. It was the biggest of the Corning Ware Visions Pots. This one is in excellent condition. No chips, breaks or staining. It has less that normal signs of usage.
