This adorable little coat outfit is for an 8" Ginny doll: this original outfit is #181 in Vogue brochure 1955 and on p.144 in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Vogue Dolls, 2nd edition. The black & white checked cotton coat is trimmed with red cuffs and collar; hook & eye fastener; tagged w/ Vogue Dolls, Inc., Medford, Mass., U.S.A *Reg. U.S. Pat.Off. ; comes with a red felt beret, and a little red plastic purse with Ginny printed on front; Coat is in almost mint condition, crisp, no holes, fading, tears; it does have 4 very small and very faint tan spots on the front, 2 on each side the size of one tiny white check of the print; the hat, and purse, are in very excellent vintage condition. Please note that this auction is for the Coat, hat & purse only and does not include the doll or shoes & socks -she is only used as a model for her extra clothes. The doll and all her outfits belonged to me as a child. She and all the accessories have been carefully and archivally stored in a cedar lined trunk for many years.
