Very collectible Volkswagen decanter from 1972. Bright red VW Bug with tan interior! Over a foot long, this decanter features a body that is part ceramic and part plastic. The lower half is ceramic while the hood, top and deck lid are plastic. The effect is of much more detail than is usually present in whiskey decanters. This VW (Super Beetle?) rolls on nicely detailed plastic wheels and tires. It's in very nice condition with no chips, cracks or broken pieces of plastic. All the labels and stickers are in "as new" condition. It has never been opened and the tax stamp is intact (the cork is visible through the rear window). T is liquid inside although after thirty-something years of storage I'd bet the alcohol has evaporated and the remaining liquid probably isn't potable. But, per eBay policy, the value of this bottle is in the container itself, not in any liquid that may be inside. And, by bidding the buyer implicitly represents that they are of legal age to buy this item. This is a no reserve auction with a very reasonable starting price. This VW bottle will make a fine addition to any bar or a great gift to the VW lover in your life. Returns are welcome; buyer pays shipping. If you are the winning bidder and would prefer to receive the decanter without its contents, just let me know and I'll send it empty. Elsew on eBay I have a Blue VW decanter just like this red one, except the blue one leaks and I'll have to pour it out before shipping. If you are interested in both I might be able to work something out on shipping. Thank you for your interest and good luck! |
