HAS GRUEN WATCH TIME IN MIDDLE OF CLOCK FACE CLOCK STILL WORKS WHEN PLUGGED IN LIGHT IN CLOCK ALSO WORKS - TAKES 2 STANDARD BULBS CLOCK FRAME & CLOCK MADE OF METAL FACE COVER MADE OF GLASS HISTORY OF GREENETZ JEWELERS : Michael & Joseph Greenetz (brothers) partnered with Abraham Pelicoff in 1921 to open a jewelry store at 833 Broadway. By 1930 Pelicoff had relocated to Atlantic City, w he operated a hotel. Michael and Joseph Gr eenetz remained on Broadway, moving their jewelry store to 839 Broadway by the mid-1930s. The store was still open at that location through the fall of 1956. Michael Greenetz passed away on August 13, 1958, and Joseph Greenetz died January 17, 1959. During the store's years of operation it encountered a robbery back in January of 1928. The following is the story as printed by the Courier Post - Camden - JANUARY 7, 1928: JEWELRY CLERK HELD IN ROBBERY OF STORE HISTORY OF GRUEN WATCH: The Gruen Watch Company was founded in 1894, the company later traced its history back to 1874, following the early career of its founder.
