This is a one owner vintage German musical Cuckoo clock. This is one of the larger clocks. The bird house is made of wood as is the piece at the top of the bird house and the pendulum. The chains and the 3 cone weights are metal. The face of the clock has Roman Numerals. The piece on the top of the bird house hooks onto the bird house. Approximate measurements are 15" high by 10" wide by 7" deep. It is very ornate an detailed with the grapes and the leaves each side of the front and the top V-shaped piece. It has been very nicely carved giving it a 3-D look. The pendulum is also made of wood. It is very colorful painted with the greens, orange and purple. On the half hour the door opens and it cuckoos once. On the hour the bird comes out and cuckoos the number of times that the hour hand is pointed to. After the bird comes out on the hour then the second door opens and t is t is a tune that plays. On the back it is stamped "Germany" and on the side is a label marked "Thorens, Movement, Donan Wellen, Fledermaus, Made In Switzerland". This clock is in excellent condition with no scratches, nicks, splintered edges and paint on the wood is excellent. It has never been in the direct sunlight so the wood has no fade lines. It also keep time very accurately. All You need do is hang it on your wall and as you go by just pull the chains down. You will get lots of compliments with this hanging on your wall.
