Please note that I routinely combine shipping (per my invoice) via USPS or FedEx, whichever is least costly, for multiple auction wins shipped in one well-packed parcel, at significant cost savings to you. T is little reason to heat more skillet than you need, and the #3 sized skillet is the perfect size for cooking one or two eggs, a hamburger patty, or for browning onions or garlic. The number 3 skillet makes a great spoon rest for your range top, and also finds use as a drink coaster, as an ashtray on your deck or patio, a change catcher on your dresser or bureau, or for paper clips and rubber bands on your desk. And because of their small size, an array of #3 skillets makes a visually interesting wall display. I am offering for bid, in separate auctions, twenty-four (24) uniquely different vintage #3 skillets, from a variety of manufacturers, w some are very collectible, and others less so. Please note for shipping purposes, I can safely ship you up to six (6) #3 skillets in one USPS Flat Rate Box for $8.60, and with insurance additional should you require it. When this fine 80+ year old #3 cast iron skillet left the Wapak factory, it was NOT encrusted with grease and carbon, was NOT rusty, did NOT reek of rancid oil, and allowing for very routine kitchen use, now once again looks much like it did so many decades ago! This auction is for a VERY GOOD Wapak #3 (Iron Finish) smooth bottom cast iron skillet, in VERY GOOD overall condition . Established in Wapakoneta, Ohio in 1903 as the Wapak Hollow Ware Company, WAPAK based their fine reputation on high quality castings of the best available materials, and on a high level of craftmanship, but routinely "Borrowed" patterns from other hollow ware manufacturers including Griswold, Wagner, FAVORITE, and others. Wapak produced fine cast iron products under the "WAPAK" name in four different logo styles during their 24 year history, (Block, Taper, "Z", and the Indian Medallion), plus their economy ONEIDA line until their disappearance into bankruptcy in 1926. This skillet logo variety was produced from 1903 to 1926, and is a nice example of WAPAK's tapered logo style! This interesting small frying pan, measures 6.5" rim-to-rim, 6.875" spout-to-spout, 10.125" rim-to-handle tip, at 1.375" deep, and with a cooking surface diameter of 5.125". This very nice vintage cooking pan is incised on the exterior bottom with the name tapered style " WAPAK " logo, the size number " 3" below. Very well cast of fine grained iron with virtually no exterior casting roughness, and only a very few casting bumps, dimples or flow marks in evidence, this quality-made and fully cleaned vintage iron fry pan has no chips, cracks, pits, rust, warping, bowing or repairs, sits absolutely flat on any hard, level surface, and rings nicely like a bell when tapped, but does have some light finish wear on the exterior bottom, mostly confined to the leading and trailing edges. Very collectible to be sure, and having a warm, rich dark color, this well-maintained cooking skillet has been pre-seasoned with vegetable shortening for your immediate cooking use or display. Frequent use of this frying skillet has largely worn away the manufacturer's milling marks "CARTWHEEL EFFECT" from the polished interior, but are still plainly visable on the interior sides, and in the spouts, and despite just a very few tiny utensil marks in evidence, has created a cooking surface that is VERY SMOOTH to the touch, and virtually non-stick!
