It immediately won over countless fans worldwide and, in its radically modern form, to this day ranks among the leading models in the Titoni range. Felca Ltd., the manufacturer of both Felca and Titoni watches, made its first contact with the Chinese world around 1949 and now one of the best known brands in Asia. The Swiss family enterprise had been founded in 1919 in the watchmaking town of Grenchen, at the foot of the Swiss Jura Mountains. Twenty years later, it was already selling its high-quality “Felca” brand watches to other continents, including some parts of Southeast Asia, like Singapore and Hong Kong. Because many Chinese sailors stopped in Singapore and bought watches to take home to China at that time, the Titoni brand was already known in Beijing (Peking).
