This is a Waterman's W5 fountain pen in Black which dates from around 1946. It has a capped length of 12.7cm and is a lever-filler with gold-plated trim. The barrel imprint reads 'Waterman's. Made in England. W5'. The imprint on the Fine 14ct Keyhole nib reads 'Waterman's. Ideal. England'. The cap has three bands and the clip has the Waterman's name running vertically. It can be seen that the pen is in very nice condition. There are no cracks, scratches or dings, the barrel imprint in worn in parts but is still quite legible and there is minimal surface wear. With regard to the trim, there is a hint of brassing to the lever but the clip and cap bands are OK. The nib is lovely. I have overhauled the pen and replaced the sac. The lever operates smoothly, the pen fills nicely and writes well. This is a very good-looking vintage Waterman's fountain pen in nice condition and fully functional. It would look at home in any collection and I'm sure that the buyer will be pleased with it. As always, however, a full refund will be offered if he/she is not completely satisfied with the purchase. Buyer pays postage and packing. To addresses in the UK the cost is £4.50 (Recorded delivery). To addresses in the USA and Europe it is £8.50 (International Signed For). Buyers from other countries please contact me for prices. Thanks for looking.
