Waterman Ideal Fountain Pen imprint around lip of filigree on sleeve is crisp. Quite a good 412 SF imprint at the end of barrel. Nib, feed, section and all hardware are outstanding. I have not cleaned off dirt/oxidation of the push rod under the crisp Ideal globe. No dents, scratches, gouges or other cosmetics worth mentioning except some nicks at the barrel end that are inconsequential.I would describe this pen as "Outstanding" overall cosmetically and without any significant functional issues. Its uniqueness is of course the fact that it is a sterling filigree sleeve filler. This is my subjective assessment and belief. Obviously the criteria for this descriptor varies from collector to collector.I have tried to let the pics do most of the talking, so please pay close attention to the details they show from as many different angles of as many parts as possible. Judge for yourself the condition of the pen and bid accordingly. Also note that I do not polish all of the tarnish off of pens and I don't try to wash out or polish of every bit of old ink off of nibs. Just evenly and just enough to show relevant details for taking pics.
