Up for bit is a lovely WAVE CREST ZINNIA SILK LINED HINGED JEWEL BOX. This wonderful piece was part of my Aunt's collection. I am not an expert and was just the lucky recipient so I will describe as best I can. This is a hand painted milk glass hinged box with the original heavy silk lining and brass fittings, it is beautiful with the floral top and I think a bit rare as I have been searching the internet for a year to gather what information I could find and only found 2 that had the same lid design and neither of those were an exact match. The top measures 4" in diameter, the lower bowl measures 4.5" in diameter at the widest part and 3" high. The bottom bears the mark WAVE CREST. With the words TRADE and MARK (one on each end of the first two words, see photo). CONDITION This box was lovingly used and does show some ware on the brass fittings, the hinge and clasp are in good working order. T are what appear to be some bubble pops on the green painted base (the worst is visible in the photo just to the lower left of the front closure) and the beautiful pink heavy silk liner is soiled (much more so in the bottom part) and t is a slightly shredded spot in the top and the bottom of the liner probably due to age.
