Old West Vintage Braided Horse Quirt/Riding Crop/Fine Description: We have for sale a very nice hand made and vintage riding crop or quirt. The leather on this crop is in excellent condition and the braiding is very tight and very well done with a dark patina on the leather. The crop is about 2 feet long and t are no flaws that we can see. We would not recommend using it today because the leather fringe decoration at the bottom will most likely come loose. This crop was all hand made and the work involved must have took weeks to complete. It is sewn with a strange thread that almost looks like sinew but we doubt that it is. These crops were used just as quirts were used in the Old West to get t horses moving quickly. In the movie Tombstone with Kurt Russell t is a scene w Wyatt Earp meets his lady on horseback and they end up racing t horses together. She is using a crop on her horse very similar to this one and these crops were used all over the West. This is a hand made vintage horse crop in excellent condition that came from an Old West collection in Arizona. Would look great with anyone's collection or for your Western decor.
