~ SUPER WGP FEST ~ Vintage West German Pottery Vase - Scheurich 448-16 Another mainstream piece of vintage WGP now in the form of this eye-catching jugvase by Scheurich. Measuring approximately 16cm in height and with a base diameter of around 8cm, this has been decorated in a simple but very effective glazing combination of bright yellow spotted with black. It has nice proportions, an elongated handle and the yellow glazing extends to the interior of the piece. The piece is press marked to the base with the form number, origin and Scheurich logo as per the additional image The piece is in excellent overall condition with just one very small fleabite blemish to the jug rim.This is one of those pieces you will either love or hate. Whatever the case you would struggle to find it in the UK. Perhaps one of the later of the pieces that I have listed it certainly has presence and would very much stand out in a grouping. Demand for good quality pieces such as this is very definitely on the rise as collectors see them, quite rightly, as investments for the future. WGP is going to be huge in the coming years.I have an impeccable source for my pieces and will be listing good selections each month so keep an eye out for some bargains.
