Up for auction is a nice vintage alarm clock called Big Ben made by Western Clock Company or Westclox of La Salle, Illinois. On the back t are several patents dates, the first being Oct. 28, 1902 & the last being Feb. 10, 1914, thus I suspect this clock is about that date or possibly later, I am not sure. This neat Art Deco style pegleg clock is in working order. I do not however guarantee the dependability of how long it will last. I did wind it & it did seem to keep fairly accurate time & the loud alarm works, as well. The clock case is quite heavy for it's size. The color is a silver metal with a gold interior ring bordering the clock faceplate, which has some discoloration, most likely due to age. The clock is in good condition with overall wear but could use a cleaning or some type of polishing that I will leave up to the buyer. As far as I know it is in original condition. It measures approximately 5 1/4" in diameter and is about 2 1/2" deep. Since I know nothing about these clocks or can't gaurantee it except to say when it leaves it is functioning perfectly, I am going to start this at only $1.00 with NO Reserve. Thanks for looking, have fun bidding & have a great day!!
