Western Electric Black Rotary Wall Phone 2 Line You are bidding on a Vintage 2 line Black Rotary Wall Phone made by Western Electric. The phone is in good condition for its age. I have placed and received calls with this phone. I found the phone at estate sale with the original box. The phone was refurbished by Western Electric, Its seem to have never been used. When I open the box, the number card cover holder will still in the package unopened. As you can see the headset receiver is thicker than normal rotary phones. So this is an older type. The headset cord is hardwired and in perfect condition. Its NOT stretched out like many others I seen on The dial is metal NOT plastic. It has a wonderful sound when you dial out on it. It returns with ease. The numbers on the phone are nice and clear very readable. The 2 line switch was a great ad on for that time and rare. As you can see in the picture, the brass bells look like they are new. The have a nice tone to them when they ring. When I open the case up I noticed that the date was stamped in green under the cover. Also on under the headset caps. I took a picture so you could see, buts its hard to see. Under the caps us just like a dab of paint. I am not sure if its soft plastic. I know that soft plastic is very rare and collectable. The date under the case reads 11 12 59 3. The dates inside phone are 1958. Again the phone was refurbished. On the headset its reads Western Electric, Made in the USA, G1. I attached a modular cord to the phone so it will fit into standard wall jack. The only thing that I found on the phone was a crack/chip on top of the phone. I took a picture of it so you can get a better look. It must have been dropped or banged. It DOES NOT effect the phone in any way. The phone will display wonderfully on a wall. The phone has a nice black shine to it. Overall the phone is in good shape for its age. If you have any question, please message me. Thanks for looking....Good luck....
