This listing is for a nice clean vintage Western Electric E-1 Telephone. This phone is in excellent condition for its age. Markings on the piece inside mouthpiece are 8-35 which I believe means this phone was made in 1935. This phone is from the Reading, PA area and number is still on center of dial. Information & description as follows:Headset is in excellent condition, no cracks or noticed damage, only minor usage wear. It has the nice cupped mouthpiece and it is marked Western Electric E-1. A nice braided cord runs from this piece to the base. I don't know if this braiding is for cosmetic purposes or if an actual wire runs through it, but t is one break in the braid as marked with a red arrow in one photo. The base is in very good condition, only a few small chips in paint, hard to see. Dial is very nice and numbers are sharp & clear. The cradle area has some paint wear from rubbing on headset. This can be touched up fairly easy if you prefer to do so. On bottom is what looks like a suede leather covering. This is a little dirty, but not in bad shape. What looks like a brown nylon cord runs from base to an unknown piece that looks like a black coil. I know some of these old phones require a box of some kind for operation and I am not sure how this one functions, but what you see in photos is what you are buying. This phone is a neat item in good shape and it sells to the highest bidder without reserve and "as is". This will ship in a USPS flat rate priority box with delivery confirmation for $9.60. If paying by money order other then a postal money order or by cashiers check your item will not be shipped for up to 10 days. The reason for this is that the bank can not verify these methods and they informed me that some are counterfeit. ***NO PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED.****Shipping rate listed applies to continental United States, shipping to AK and HI will result in higher shipping costs. Contact me prior to payment.**Please note that when shipping via parcel post delivery times, especially to the West Coast and Florida areas may take up to 10 days or longer.
