This vintage Craftsman hunting knife and sheath (now 55 years old) given to me as a present in 1953, is still in remakably good condition for it's age. The knife is perfectly balanced overall, having both a 4 1/2" blade, and a 4 1/2" handle, for a total measured length of 8 1/2". The Craftsman brand, serial number, and made in USA are stamped on the upper knife blade~nest to the handle. The knife is very solid. The blade is sharp and shows only moderate signs of use. The leather handle strapping is tight and in tact. The leather sheath (with decorative tooling) is also very soid, showing only some slight discoloration towards the lower tip. This knife has been in storage at my Mom & Dad's for the past 40 years. You could buy it for a vintage knife collection, or put it back in the field for everyday use.
