Featured is a terrific vintage knife and hatchet combination made by Western of Boulder, Colorado. I would probably grade this combo in the excellent to near mint category. It's quite possible that the knife and axe were never used, and about the only minor flaws are some general wear to the leather sheath and some minor corrosion or wear to the knife and axe in a few areas with some surface scratches. Neither the knife or axe appear to have ever been sharpened. The scabbard or sheath has a fabulous basket-weave type design that is also of interest. The locking mechanism works fine, and when inserted, the axe measures 10 3/4" from the tip of the handle to the tip of the blade. Likewise, the knife when inserted measures approx. 9 1/2" L.
