VINTAGE CORK STOPPER FOR WINE-MAN WITH HAT MUSIC BOX PLAYS"WER SOLL DAS BEZAHLEN?" WHO SHOULD PAY?I have an old German novelty wine pourer, hand carved and painted, in great condition for it's age. The song was created around 1948-9, it's an old carnival song that alluded to German currency reform that took place after WWII. The key turns nicely and plays the tune. The cork has a tube to pour the wine without taking out the cork. The wine/liquid runs through the gentleman's cigar poking out through his lips. On the back of his hat is the legend "The world's biggest cuckoo clock-Wiesbaden" with a picture of said clock. (The decal is whole, though it doesn't look like it in the photos, the top is there, just bent over with the hat rim.) The figure measures 4.5" long including the cork and 3" from nose to back of head. He weighs about 4.5 ounces. It comes with the round wood stand. I'm thinking this is a souvenir item. So three collectibles in one-Music boxes, novelty bottle stoppers and post WWII German artifacts!CONTACT POLICY:This Item is listed as a Buy It Now with a Best Offer option.
