Vintage Winchester # 1920 folding hunter. At 5 1/4" closed and 9 1/2 " open this is a large knife. Absolutely no cracks, chips or damage of any kind to these beautiful bone handles. Both handles show a minimum amount of pocket wear, not much at all. The blade is marked Winchester - Trade Mark - Made in USA in 3 lines and the pattern # 1920 on rear, all markings are very crisp and clear. The blade has great snap opening, half stop, and closing. The blades lies very straight in the lining when closed. The blade barely reachs the lower bolster, I would guess it is less than 1/8" short overall. This knife was professionally cleaned many years ago and retains a very bright and shiny appearance. T are still a few pit spots showing on the bolsters and back of blade, the one picture showed these. This knife was used way back when, but appears to have not been abused. I don't think I will have trouble with buyers finding this knife in their reference books as it is one of Winchester most sought after patterns. I would rate this knife as very good + condition. I am going to put a modest reserve on this knife to protect my investment, either it sells for the reserve or I have a dealer that made me an offer I may consider a little more carefully.
