Nice old WINCHESTER axe even with some signs of abuse. Is stamped ''WINCHESTER TRADE MARK MADE IN USA'' on one side which is very legible. Also is dated 2-27 on bottom side of poll; see pics. Has full blade with no signs of sharping. Has some old hammer dings on bottom side apparently made when changing handle.See pics. Also old hammering around the eye on top. Has some mushrooming on poll as most old used axes do. Does not effect the Winchester stamp. No cracks in head. Very nice old handle with no cracks or splitting. Very tight with original looking large wedge. Head measures 8 ins. wide with a 5 in. edge. OAL is 35 1/8 ins. These Winchester axes are hard to come by.Great addition for your collection.
