VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE MECHANICAL TOY~CUBBY THE READING BEAR ~ MADE IN JAPAN Here is a most charming vintage metal mechanical toy reading bear "Cubby the Reading Bear". It is metal and furry like fiber, plastic nose. The metal "Baby Book" that Cubby reads from is a separate piece in original small paper cover bag inside of the box, also original. The book attaches to the two prongs which protrude from the middle section of the bear and the magnet on the bottom of his left hand will turn the pages of the book when the bear is wound up, key in back. It really appears that the bear is turning the pages of the book and there is a cat, dog, duck, hen, rat, pig, and calf pictured. Cubby stands 7" tall, comes in original box and is in very good condition, clean and nice, smoke and odor free, with just a minor smudge on his green overalls, mild shelf wear to the box with colorful graphics on the lid. VERY CUTE old mechanical toy from the past ~ great for display, or vintage Christmas toy collection. Buyer pays shipping cost. I accept Paypal Payment. Thank you ~ Check out my other items !
