~~~Up for Bid Is This Gorgeous~~~ 1940 "Exquisite" Pattern 50 Piece Silverplated Flatware Set By Wm Rogers & Co With Original Box and Certificate This beautiful set comes to you in excellant condition. T are only a few of the spoons (one large serving spoon, two soup spoons, and one dinner spoon) that have some pitting type silver loss that is ever so slight that it is hardly noticeable. The tines on the forks are not bent. Other than this t is only minimal vintage wear that is consistent with age and use. On the bottom of the flatware it reads Exquisite Wm Rogers & Son IS. The box is made of what appears to be a beautiful walnut wood. It has a lovely finish with some very minor scratches and t It does have a musty moth ball smell. Also, one hinge has come loose from the wood frame, which is also split, but could be repaired by the right person. The material inside the box is also torn on the hinge seam. The bottom is made of a type of cardboard panel that is a little wavy. All and all it really is a handsome box!
