Vintage Wood and Metal Ice Skates

These primitive ice skates have been in the family many decades, but sadly I do not have family stories associated with them. My research reveals 1800's, but I am not knowledgable about antique skates. I will try to describe as best I can, and I will take more pictures by request. T is always the temptation to remove rust, but I have left them just the way I found them in the items from my mother's estate. The wood portion measures 11 inches long and is 2.5 inches at the widest. From the bottom of the blade to surface of wood is 1.5 inches. Blade width is 1/4 inch and the curl height is 4 inches. Pieces of original leather straps remain. T is a small sharp spike in each heel. On part of each blade t is a narrow grove midline, but not continuous on either blade. I will try to answer any questions and/or take more pictures.
