Vintage Wood Carving MAN w UMBRELLA 5" Carved Figure

Up for bid is a wonderful carved wood figure. It is a man standing and holding a red umbrella on his shoulder. One hand is held behind his back He has wonderful detail on his beard and face! The piece is not marked and maker remains unknown. There is some white adhesive residue on bottom. I think one can also see some faint pencil markings when one looks closely. I do know the shape of base resembles that seen in Anri figures, with corners cut off forming 8 sided block. Still, I have been unable to confirm so any information from knowledgeable viewers would be most welcome! Piece measures approx 5" high. Condition: It is without chips, cracks, nicks or dings. There are no splits or repairs. There is some green paint smeared on back of base but this would be from when piece was made. Overall patina is quite nice!

Piece has great character and detail! Easy to enjoy and should be a nice addition for collectors of vintage carved figures. (I purchased it from an estate sale a couple weeks ago. The owners appeared well traveled and collected numerous items that appeared to be from mid 20th century or earlier.)

We do have another similar figure listed separately. (We will combine both for "actual" shipping cost - just please wait for revised invoice after auction ends.)

SHIPPING INSIDE US: We do not charge a fixed rate for shipping. We base our shipping costs on the actual weight of the item. It is a "calculated" cost based on USPS postal zones. The more zones/further away you are from MD the greater the cost. This means to ship to California and other west coast states costs MORE than to ship to nearby neighboring states such as PA, NJ, VA etc. We will combine shipping on multiple purchases. Please note: We try to estimate actual weight of package as best we can. If package turns out a little bit lighter that expected, and shipping is less than calculator estimate, this difference was not intentional. We do not charge a handling fee.

EXPLANATION OF SHIPPING COSTS INSIDE US (PLEASE READ): My goal is to keep your shipping costs as low as possible while wrapping safely/securely. We offer First Class OR Parcel Post in addition to Priority whenever there is a cost saving. We NEVER CHARGE A HANDLING FEE. When I list an item I estimate how much the package will weigh (securely wrapped) and enter that weight on the listing. eBay's listing page then provides you a calculated shipping from my zip code to yours, based on that weight. If your shipping seems HIGH, PLEASE CONSIDER WHERE YOU ARE LOCATED. If you have questions/concerns please write!

PAYMENT DETAILS inside & outside USA (International): Payment is requested within five (5) business days. We accept PayPal and try to mail within 24-48 hours following receipt of payment. PLEASE NOTE: Because of other obligations it is often impossible to mail on Tues. & Thurs. Rest assured we will have your package in mail the following day, within our 2 day promise. Maryland residents also pay 6% sales tax.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: We welcome your bid! PLEASE CONTACT US for appropriate Worldwide shipping costs BEFORE BIDDING. Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the shipping company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
