Up for bid is a very rare wood Pepsi Cola Box. Standing 10" high by 10" wide, and 12-1/2" in length. The edges of the ends of this box are wrapped in a thin hemmed tin, to help keep the edges of the wood box together, as well as to help the box from getting too damage when boxes were stacked on top of each other. The advertising, which is on all four sides of this box, are done so in Red and Blue. The box itself, has a deep rich dark tone to the wood finish, though it appears t's no stain on the box, it may just be a little dirt, grime and/or natural patina. On the sides of the box, in a blue border surrounding red lettering (which reads in large bold script "PEPSI-COLA") it reads "BUY THE DRINK IN THE BIG BIG BOTTLE". Between the words "THE" and "DRINK", is a red coin like red circle, which has a 5 cent in the center, obviously the price for a single bottle. Below the blue border it reads, in blue letters, "BALTIMORE, MD. On the each of ends of the box, just above a 1-1/2" high opening, which is about 3-4" long for one's hand to stick through and hold the box, are the words in blue, "HOME CARRIER". Below the handle opening are the words "6(with the cent sign) DEPOSIT", I'm guessing for the box.
