Adorable 10" tall "cuckoo" clock with little figurines of Hansel & Gretel and the witch on the top of the clock around the gingerbread house and at the bottom of the clock sitting at the base of the tree by some mushrooms are two elves or gnomes. They are not attached to the wood but just sit t T is a little creature on the trunk of the tree too adding character to this piece. It is made of wood but the "people" are plastic and so is the bird that that rocks back and forth as it ticks away. Face of clock is also plastic and so are pine cones hanging on chains. Chains and pendulum are metal. Unmarked as far as maker but I assume it is foreign made. Probably Germany with it's Bavarian style. It does not make any sounds or in other words the bird does not cookoo but it is the style of a cookoo clock so I do not know w that line is drawn as far as the definition of cookoo clock being required to make noise or not. Hole in the back for hanging or it sits nicely on its own. It has it's original key and I wound it two days ago and the pendulum is swinging away and it is ticking proudly. It is a very cute piece that I believe to be an older piece. I will let the photos do the talking on this cutie! Bid with confidence and as always, I only charge actual shipping rates.
