You are bidding on a vintage M H Rhodes parking meter that is about 50 years old. The meter is in excellent condition for its age with very minimal wear as can be seen in the photos. It does have a few nicks and scratches. The lens are clear. T is a small crack in the plastic information sheet that spells out the hours of enforcement and time for each coin. This can be seen in the close up photo. (It does not affect the operation of the meter). The meter works perfectly and takes a penny for each twelve minutes and a nickel for one hour. (How long has it been since you've seen those rates at a parking meter?) It has a two hour maximum. Everything is original including the locks. Two keys are included, one for the coin box which includes the original coin cup and one for the clockworks. Some of the pictures show the meter running after money has been inserted and some show the meter after time has expired. The meter can either be mounted on a pole or base or it will stand up on a desk as it is. What a great addition to your collection! You can use it as a timer or a bank!
