UP FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS: These Two awsome pieces of audio history! This is a Pair of Acoustic Reaserch AR-4X speakers and h ere is a description of each speaker: The one to the right of the first photo has the logo intact. The Guarentee card with the postal part removed is on the back and the proir owner taped it on, I did not try to remove it. There are two visiable initenals on the bottom. This speaker cabenit is in very good overall condition with what looks like a small burn mark on one side. The cloth and grill are in good shape but need cleaned because they have some minor staining. Both the woofer and the tweeter function 100% When using the high frequency control or L-pad, it had some staic but the full range of it works. I understand this can be fixed by cleaning with deoxit F5. THE SERIAL NUMBER IS FX331753. The one on the left is missing the logo. It does not have the Guarentee card. There is a hole in the rear plate above speaker termenal 2. Because of this I did not fully test them with very much volume or an extended time because I understand that could cause damage to the woofer. They both work well but the high frequency/ L-pad does not. I would not recomend using this speaker before this repair was made to seal the box. I don't think either one has been opened or repaired. THE SERIAL NUMBER IS 359684. Both are pretty clean but as mentioned above they could use a good professional cleaning and the minor repair mentioned on speaker two. I am not that pro I would be afraid i'd mess it up. They have both been tested and are in the above discribed working order. This is a heavy pair and will be costly to ship so please look and read the posting well before bidding.
