Up for auction is a great example of a WWII military nurses wool cape. This is a swing style cape. It is navy and red lined. It is very heavy. The jacket has been nicely stored. The label reads Marvin Neitzel Quality Capes and Nurses' Apparel Troy, NY. It has an emroidered intials of the owner inside "JLM". The collar reads MT.C. I know this would let me know more about the ranking of this nurse but I cannot find this abbrevation. It has a chain inside the collar. There is a hook closure at the neck and four buttons up the front. There is one small pocket on the inside. This is a beautiful exmaple of this coat. It is in excellent condition.
