For your consideration is this vintage Works Progress Administration (WPA) wood sign. The WPA is a program created by executive order in 1935 to provide jobs for millions of unemployed Americans. Artists were hired to create murals, paintings, drawings and sculptures for public buildings. I cannot confirm one of the hired artists made this. The owner I am listing this for indicated the sign dates to the late 1930's - I cannot confirm and t is no date on the item. Measures approx 36" x 36". Measures approx 1 5/8" deep on the frame. The sign is in rough condition - t is paint missing and some chips and dings. The sign looks like it was made of 3.25" individual pieces of wood that have been glued together + the frame. A great vintage collectible item. Due to the size, it will be shipped via UPS Ground as a very large package - approx 130". Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. Sold as is. Payment within 5 days via PayPal or Money Order/Cashiers Check. Shipping is typically within 2 days of payment receipt. Shipping insurance optional. Combined shipping whenever possible.
