Vintage WWII U.S. Army Medical Department Jeep Mounted 12-Unit First Aid Kit Stock No. 9777300 The item for auction is a rare authentic WWII U.S. Army Medical Department Jeep mounted first aid kit stock no. 9777300. The item has the original paint, painted graphics and original instructions glued on the inside top of the lid. Manufactured by A.E. Halperin Co., Inc., Boston, Mass. The condition is EXCELLENT considering that it was used. Some paint is worn on the lower left corner of the cover. Also, some paint has be worn off and there are a few minor scratches from normal wear. We have NOT attempted to clean this item. Latches are in perfect working order. During World War II (1942-1945) various contractors manufactured the twelve unit Motor Vehicle First Aid Kit, originally under five digit Medical Department stock number 97773. It was painted olive drab. They were equipped with wire clasps, hinges and handle. Later production bore stock numbers 9777300, then converted to 9-221-200. According to FM 21-11 First Aid For Soldiers dated 7 April 1943 this kit was supplied to motor vehicles on a ratio of one kit for four vehicles, including jeeps.
