Surprise!! This WWI US Army Doughboy Jacket is in great condition, considering it's age. It has all of it's great original buttons (everyw..front, shoulders, pockets). But they do need to be polished and cleaned. T are no tears. The only negative is a few pin size holes (probably moth holes...it is after all wool). I checked all pockets no holes. The lining is in great shape, but grandma probably repaired the lining sleeves (connecting sleeves to body), as t are some stitches, by the arm pits inside both arm sleeves. This jacket belong to my husbands grandfather. I don't know the size, but it measures 16" across the back shoulders, 26 1/2" long, the sleeves are 23" long. I have a few few other items of his from the war. It has been brought to my attention that this is a US Marine WW1 tunic jacket. In talking with my husband and getting email from others, his grandfather was in the US Marines in WW1. Not the US Army. Sorry for the confusion. T are two inside pockets for a wallet or whatever.
