Offering this vintage WWII US Army Air Forces A-10A bubble sextant in the original wood case. Manufactured by ANSCO this precision instrument is in good overall condition. I can find nothing here broken, bent or abused. The large adjustment knob moved just a little bit then stiffened up, I did not want to force it but it will surely need some attention. I can see through the lenses when viewing through the eyepiece and they are clear, one of the small flip up lenses has fallen out of the frame. I know little or nothing about this instrument and may not be describing important details, please feel free to ask questions. I have pictured separately all the attachments that come with this sextant, I do not know if everything is here so please use your own expertise. The brown envelope contains 3 extra plastic discs and a packet of pencil leads. The silver battery container is free from any corrosion and the cord looks great. The wood carrying case is solid but there are scratches, scuffs and gouges on the outside surface in several different areas. Right out of a recent estate and offered with no reserve this wonderful old US Army Air Forces A10-A bubble sextant.
