Up for grabs is a vintage WW2 leather handled fighting knife in fantastic condition. Made by E.G.W. ( E.G. Waterman and Company of New York City) These knives were most liked by sailors but all branches of the military used them in different versions. This is the number one version and it is a large knife at 11-7/8" overall plus the lanyard ring on the tang at the butt of the knife, blade length is 7-3/8" long. It has a stacked leather handle, lanyard ring, original sheath, and does not look to have been sharpened much if any . No loose components at all and the handle is in nice shape also. T is what looks like a nick about 3/4 " down from the tip of the blade, but it looks like it was an original milled feature of the knife( its to perfect), although Im not sure, could be sharpened out if desired. ( maybe one of you knife buffs could let me know). Used, but definitely overall great shape knife and would add to any collection or an awesome gift for the military collector. Could use a cleaning which I'll leave to the next owner. Marked EGW on the side of blade at the bolster. Shipping and handling will be $6.00 to most US destinations. Hawaii and Alaska will be more.International bidders contact me before bidding for shipping quote.Payment required within seven days from end of auction. Paypal Preferred. Please let me know if t is a problem with something purchased from me and I will try to remedy the problem if its within reason. Positive feedback is essential for both the buyer and seller and is what makes Ebay work. Thanks for bidding!
