Vintage WWII WW2 Era US Army Canvas Medical Dept. Kit

This is a great vintage U.S. Army Medical Kit I came across. I'm reasonably certain this dates from approximately World War II, as one of the bandages inside has a marked contract date of March 3, 1942. It is intact with supplies inside, which I thought made it a very interesting collectible. It measures about 7 inches in width, 6 inches tall, and about 5 inches deep. The kit has 'MEDICAL DEPARTMENT U.S.A.' on the front, under a red cross. Cool piece of military memorabilia! The contents are as follows: (2) Small First Aid Dressings, US Army Carlisle Model (Bauer & Black, Chicago USA) (1) Small First Aid Dressing, US Army Carlisle Model (The American White Cross Laboratories, Inc., contract dated March 3, 1942) (1) Large First Aid Dressing, US Army Carlisle Model (The Bay Division, Parke Davis & Co.) (1) Eye Dressing Packet (Robert A. Bernhard, Mfg Chemistry, Rochester N.Y.) (1) Red Cross Bandage, 2 in. x 10 yards (Johnson & Johnson) (3) Gauze Covered Cotton Eye Pads (A.E. Halperin Co.) (3) Adhesive Strips for Eye Pads (A.E. Halperin Co.) (1) 1 oz. Tube Acid Boric Ointment (Comfort Manufacturing Co.) (1) Tube unknown contents, writing has come off and not sure what it is (1) Packet of single sided cotton swabs It is in very good condition, this does appear to have been used, and is somewhat dirty and stained on the outside, and the tubes have leaked somewhat inside. Cool piece to add to a military memorabilia collection! Thanks for looking, and happy bidding! The free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.
