Here for your consideration is a rather lovely genuine vintage Zippo lighter from the 1980s.This was a gift from my brother, who was in the Navy, and visited the Falkland Islands during the conflict.The lighter is either chrome or stainless steel.On one side of the lighter is depicted the Falkland Island's motto 'Desire the Right'.The motto refers to the discovery of the Falkland Islands in 1592 - reputedly by an English sea-captain - 'Desire' was the name of the ship. The ram represents sheep-farming and the tussock grass is the most notable native vegetation.On the other side of the Zippo lighter is a map of the Falkland Islands.This lighter is in surprisingly excellent condition for its age - there are only minor scratches which don't affect the designs.I have tried it out, and it works very well. I have put in a new flint, but the buyer will need to refill the petrol (I didn't want to send a flammable item through the post!)I only wish to sell as I already have another Zippo lighter.Thank you for looking.
